Mayor Honors Fire Chief Anthony Moschella

During the annual fire inspection dinner held on November 12, 2022, Mayor Marie Potter presented a proclamation to Randolph Township Fire Department Chief Anthony Moschella in recognition of his 31 years of service to Randolph Township.
Chief Moschella began his career as a volunteer firefighter in his hometown of Randolph, New Jersey when he joined the Randolph Fire Department in August of 1993 and was assigned to Millbrook Fire Company #2. During his tenure of over 25 years in the Jersey City Police Department, where he has attained the rank of sergeant, Anthony Moschella continued to serve the Randolph Township community and steadily ascended through the ranks to serve as battalion chief of Company #2 in 2003 and 2004.
Chief Moschella brought his knowledge and expertise to serve on several department committees, including the Apparatus Replacement Committee and the Board of Engineers, as well as Company #2 Chaplin. He will complete his term as chief of the fire department at the end of 2022, having served in numerous leadership roles over the last eight years including assistant fire chief in 2014, followed by two, two-year terms as deputy fire chief, and two, two-year terms as chief of the fire department.
Chief Moschella has achieved his Exempt and Life Membership in the New Jersey State Firemen’s Association and will forever hold the distinction of a Life Member of the Randolph Fire Department.
