Meadowbrook Road Curb Replacement Update
Posted: April 23, 2019
The paving of Meadowbrook Road from Rickland Drive to Butternut Road will begin with the milling of the roadway the week of May 6, 2019, and completion of the initial paving course the week of May 13. The final paving course will be installed as part of the second phase and will be scheduled this summer after the trenches have had a chance to settle.
The milling and paving operations will require alternating traffic on the road during the two week period and delays should be expected. There may be short periods of time where access to some driveways may not be possible, however, we will be coordinating with the contractor to minimize the inconvenience. The access restrictions are necessary in order to ensure the paving material is properly installed and to prevent damage to vehicles using the street.
Please be advised that the milling and paving operations are heavy construction activities and it is strongly recommended that residents avoid walking in or along the street through the active construction area except when necessary to access their homes. Once the milling is complete, care must be exercised since the surface will be uneven until the initial paving is complete.
The paving and curb replacement in the section of Meadowbrook from Butternut to Old Chimney Road will be the last section of the project to be constructed. This work is planned for the fall and will be completed prior to year’s end.
