Randolph Launches Economic Development Website

Posted: June 5, 2019

Randolph Township is pleased to announce the launch of a new economic development website, randolphnjedc.com.

Home to over 380 companies with over 13,000 employees, Randolph possesses a diverse and robust business sector. The new website is a joint initiative of the Randolph Economic Development Committee (EDC) and township council to promote economic development in the community. It is designed to be a “one stop” resource for business leaders and potential developers seeking to maintain, grow or relocate their business in Randolph Township.

In today’s fast paced economy, the challenge of attracting new business while retaining existing business is great. To remain competitive, municipalities must have a local economic development presence. The new website will provide this presence by allowing township leaders the ability to communicate directly with business owners and real estate professionals regarding the community’s business-friendly attitude and the advantages of doing business in Randolph.

In addition to promoting the township’s positive economic climate, the dynamic and interactive website features an abundance of data and information. The website design includes a listing of available commercial space, including office, industrial, retail and development sites; comprehensive demographics; market and industry data; zoning information; business news; resources; and much more.

The Randolph Economic Development Committee is one of the longest standing advisory committees to the township council. The committee, comprised of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds, works tirelessly to enhance the township’s business community and its partnership with the township and its residents. The Randolph EDC’s mission is to promote sound economic development by acting as a liaison between existing business/industry and township departments, encouraging business and industry to locate in the township, identifying any problems relating to industry and other commercial enterprises, and recommending pro-business policies, programs and projects to the township council. The new website is the cornerstone of the committee’s outreach efforts to raise Randolph’s profile as a great place in which to do business.

The website was developed utilizing a grant from the Morris County Economic Development Alliance. The website will be managed by the Randolph Planning and Zoning Department in conjunction with the township manager’s office and EDC. For more information, residents may contact the planning and zoning office at 973.989.7080 or the township manager’s office at 973.989.7060.
