On April 8, 2020 Governor Murphy issued Executive Order No. 120 postponing the federal and state primary elections from June 2, 2020 to Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

On May 15, 2020 the governor then issued Executive Order No. 144, authorizing the July 7th primary election to be conducted primarily via vote-by-mail ballots.

All active Republican and Democrats will automatically receive a vote-by-mail ballot. All unaffiliated voters will receive a special vote-by-mail application which requires the voter to complete, select a party and return the application to the county clerk’s office before a ballot is issued. All inactive Republican, Democrat and unaffiliated voters will also receive the vote-by-mail application.

Each municipality will have one consolidated polling location. Any voter who appears at a polling place on the day of the July primary election shall vote a provisional ballot, except that a voter with disabilities may vote on an ADA-accessible voting machine. Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be dropped off at the polling location on Election Day.

The only polling location for Randolph Township will be the municipal building at 502 Millbrook Avenue. Residents are strongly encouraged to utilize the vote-by-mail ballots.
