1st Annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest

Who in Randolph can decorate the most exciting scarecrow?

The Randolph Lions Club is sponsoring a community building event to challenge participants to build their own scarecrow. The competition is open to Randolph residents, business owners, school clubs and town groups.

The scarecrows will be judged on creativity and prizes will be awarded. There are three categories you can use as your inspiration for building your scarecrow.

• Whimsical fantasy
• Fun horror
• First responders

For each category, there will be one 1st place prize winner of $250 as well as a ribbon. Second and 3rd place winners for each category will receive a ribbon plus there will be 2 honorable mentions for those who were close contenders!

All scarecrows must be in good taste and absent of adult, political or religious themes.

Registration begins August 23, 2020, display your scarecrow by October 10th, judging will take place beginning on October 17th, and the winners will be announced on October 25th.

You must be registered to compete and the registration fee is $40.00. To register, visit Randolph’s Community Pass system; the scarecrow contest will be listed under Community Events 2020.
