Solicitation in Randolph Township

It has come to our attention that there have been people soliciting in Randolph who have not gone through the proper steps to obtain a solicitor’s permit.

We have received reports that these people have approached homes on the No Solicitation List maintained by the township, and they have been rather aggressive and inappropriate with their requests/comments to our residents.

If you encounter these solicitors, please be sure to get the name of the company and the person. Immediately call the Randolph Police Department’s non-emergency number, 973.989.7000 and choose “dispatch” to report the solicitation.

There are currently six solicitor permits issued in Randolph. They are required to obtain the township’s No Solicitation List each day that they are soliciting in Randolph. Occasionally these solicitors do not follow the rules and they approach homes that are on the list. Residents may want to “remind” those solicitors that they should be respecting the No Solicitation List.
