Storm-Related Branch Collection

Posted: August 7, 2020

Updated September 11, 2020: As of today, the Randolph Township Department of Public Works has completed the curbside collection of storm-related fallen tree branches. Residents who have not yet been able to bring their storm-related tree branches (only) to the curb may call 973.989.7066 to notify the department.

Updated August 21, 2020: The Randolph Township Department of Public Works is currently working on the curbside collection of storm-related fallen tree branches. Crews are collecting branches placed curbside along all township streets affected by the storm. The cutoff date for branches to be placed curbside is Friday September 4. The DPW crews will make their final collection immediately following this deadline.

Due to Tropical Storm Isaias on August 4, 2020, the township will be collecting storm-related fallen tree branches curbside effective immediately. Crews from the public works department will be collecting branches placed curbside along all township streets affected by the storm. Main roads are being collected first and then secondary roads will be collected.

Please ensure that only storm-related branches are placed curbside and are cut into manageable lengths, no greater than eight feet. The town will not be able to take stumps.

The township anticipates that the storm related branch collection program will take several weeks to complete due to the significant volume of damaged trees. We understand it may take residents several weeks to bring branches to the curb so there will be more than one collection per house if needed.

Residents can also drop off branches at the recycling center from Wednesday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Your cooperation and patience with the clean-up effort is greatly appreciated.
