Summer Art Camps 2025

Register online beginning January 6, 2025, or at the Community Center located at 30 Calais Road, Randolph, NJ. Non-resident registration opens March 4, 2025, with a $10 fee. For further information, call the Recreation Department at 973-989-7081 or email us at artworks@randolphnj.org. No refunds or credits after May 23, 2025. View the withdrawal request policy.

TEEN Camp: Week 1

  • Date:  June 16 - 20, 2025
  • Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Who: Completed Grades 6 -12
  • Fee: $330
  • Instructor: Lauren Rudisill

Students will spend an intensive week working on many projects that will help hone their artistic skills and stimulate their imagination while incorporating composition, color theory, form, and light. These days will be filled with drawing exercises, instruction on new materials & skills, problem-solving challenges, along with a group project. Projects include drawing, painting, textile art, printmaking, and 3D sculpture explorations. This summer, we will get inspired by the landscape, history, wildlife, and artwork of the American West! Join us! (Bring water, snack & lunch)

Fashion Takeover: Week 2

Unleash your style and creativity in Teen Fashion Takeover! Be a designer, dive into wearable art, explore creativity, and learn essential sewing skills. Students will dive into tie-dye, upcycling, and sewing to craft unique, sustainable designs. The week ends with a Fashion Show for everyone to showcase their new fashions! (Bring water, snack & lunch)

Fantastic Fibers: Week 3

Fantastic Fibers invites young artists to explore the imaginative world of fiber arts! Inspired by nature and influential artists like Claes Oldenburg, each day offers opportunities to work with unique materials like fabrics and yarn. Students will learn techniques for sewing, sculpture, quilting, eco-printing, and more. This camp is perfect for expanding artistic horizons and creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces to take home! (Bring water, snack & lunch)

The Circus is Coming: Week 4

Welcome to the Greatest Show on Earth! Join us for circus-themed fun as we explore art under the Big Top Tent with circus animals, clowns, magicians, acrobats, and tasty circus food!  Circus paintings by artists Chagall and Seurat will help us get in the mood to have some spectacular creative fun! (Bring water, snack & lunch)

Enter the Cold Zone: Week 5

Take a break from the summer heat with some cool art projects and techniques! Campers will use a variety of art mediums. Let's sled down an iceberg, discover creatures in the deep cold sea, and get a brain freeze from frosty treats. You'll be sure to leave frozen....brrrrr! (Bring water & snack)

A Land Far, Far Away: Week 6

What story would your pencil, marker, or paintbrush tell if it could talk? Join us as we learn to create our own characters and art that tells a story! From monsters to superheroes, dragons, and more, students will create sculptures, paintings, mixed-media pieces, and more to tell their very own tale. (Bring water & snack)

My Pet Shop: Week 7

Want a pony, tarantula, bird, or puppy?...well now you can! All you need is your imagination and a variety of art mediums. We will create our own mix of pets for our shop, both fantastical and real. And let's see whose best-designed doghouse wins! (Bring water & snack)

Pre-K: The Magic Garden: Week 8

  • Date:  August 18, 20, 21 & 22 (M, W, TH & F)
  • Time: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Who: 3.5 - 5 Years Old
  • Fee: $200
  • Instructor: Jenna Bentley & Lauren Rudisill

Join us as we bring our imaginations to life in this vibrant & whimsical artistic week! Students will explore a variety of colorful media such as paper maché, clay, and fluorescent paints to create enchanted frogs, fantastical landscapes, intriguing magical plants, and more! (Bring water & snack)
