Summer Camp
Overview
The Randolph Parks & Recreation Department and Artworks Studio staff are pleased to offer several summer camp programs. Our art camps are designed for ages Pre-K through Teens depending on the week. Campers will have fun expressing their creativity in either our full or half-day sessions, Monday through Friday. Participants will be exposed to a variety of art mediums/techniques while completing several projects throughout each program. All camps will be taught by experienced art instructors with several assistants in our air-conditioned facility located at 502 Millbrook Avenue (just behind the Randolph Municipal building).
Register online beginning January 5, 2026, or at the Community Center located at 30 Calais Road, Randolph, NJ. Non-resident registration opens March 13, 2026, with a $10 fee. Teen Art Camp: Week 1

Students will spend an intensive week working on many projects that will help hone their artistic skills and stimulate their imagination while incorporating composition, color theory, form, and light. These days will be filled with drawing exercises, instruction on new materials & skills, problem-solving challenges, along with a group project. Projects include drawing, painting, textiles, printmaking, and 3D sculpture explorations.

Teen Art Camp: Week 2

A Peculiar, Surreal Experience!: Week 3

This 4-day week invites blooming artists to explore and hone their skills through sustainable and contemporary art! Inspired by the use of recycled materials and artists such as Dale Chihuly, Joan Miro, and Salvador Dali. Each day offers opportunities to work with unique materials and contemporary art practices. Projects include collage, sculpture, drawing, painting, and more!

Art Time Travelers: Week 4

Embark on a time-traveling adventure exploring different eras of art such as Cave Art, Ancient Egyptian/Greek/Roman art, the Renaissance, Impressionism, Pop Art and Cubism. Artists will be "traveling" through time and uncovering a variety of art styles and mediums from painting to three dimensional! Hang on!

Art Rocks!: Week 5

Students will be creating artwork inspired by music! From classical music and jazz to rock and today's hits, this camp will explore a variety of musical genres, instruments, and lyrics to inspire each project! Students will create retro-paintings and collages as well as 3D guitar sculptures. This camp offers a variety of art making media all while learning about the power of music!

Shipwrecked on Art Island: Week 6

Grab your map & compass and navigate through the beauty of a remote island. Discover tropical animals, new cultures and other mysteries while diving into the depths of the ocean. You'll bring back a treasure trove of ancient artifacts, vibrant tribal patterns and colorful fish! Or you may just not want to go home!

Wacky Road Trip: Week 7

Hop into the studio with us for an exciting artistic excursion across the USA! We'll travel to wacky and wonderful places -like Lucy, a 6-story elephant, the Corn Palace, Carhenge-a car made Stonehenge and imaginative Luna Parc, NJ. And we just might see a UFO! All along the way we will create art inspired by sights across our great American nation.

Pre-K: Art Bakery: Week 8

Join us in making some sweet treats at our art bakery! We will be using a variety of mediums to create sculpted bread, watercolor cookies, mixed media pies and more! So get your paintbrushes and aprons ready for some delicious bakery inspired art projects, that will look good enough to eat!
